The New Bishop of Sittwe

Our chief correspondent from St. Andrew's Church in North Dagon has been James Mindein, an ordained priest and Bible Society worker, who was asked to look after St. Andrew's Church as well as his work for the Bible Society. We recently received this wonderful news!

James is the new Diocesan Bishop of Sittwe!

He writes in his News Letter:

Help to carry one another’s burdens.
I’m very pleased that this " Church Strength" news letter printed once again for the Sittwe Diocese, I though this Church strength is to be growing and living for the Diocese of Sittwe.
Firstly, we are very thankful and grateful to our predecessor bishop Barnabas who worked for our Diocese successfully and strongly among the people in the Church of the Province of Myanmar. We are very proud of that and we highly honour him for his commitment. And for myself, I thank and praise the Lord for opportunity to serve as the third Diocesan bishop in the Sittwe Diocese. Therefore, I would like to welcome to all Priests, Deacons, volunteers, ministers and all members to work together with me by God’s love and kindness to open third pages of Sittwe Diocese.
When we are going to land a new century, we will work together, we will serve together, and we will try together whenever we face temptations, difficulties in His ministry.
According to Galatian: 6:2-4, we have to serve and commit for the following three purposes of ministry within our Diocese.
(1) To Grow and Unite in Christ
(2) To Establish Self-supporting Church
(3) To actively participate in Holistic Mission
In Christ,
+ James Min Dein
Bishop of Sittwe Diocese
